About Us

We offer a variety of Asdan Life Skills programmes. These are open to all abilities and are practical based and person centred. They include a variety of life skills subjects to enhance the lives of our clients. The programmes we run, support independence, (not necessarily for our clients to live independently) but to provide life skills that will enrich day to day living. Each one is tailored to individual needs/abilities and all at their own pace.

Life skills

Life Skills programmes include, cooking, kitchen hygiene, meal planning, food shopping and budgeting. We also cover personal hygiene, personal safety, travel training, and money handling. We have a number of other opportunities available, too many to mention!

Support

Everyone’s needs are paramount; support is often on a 1 to 1 basis. The programmes are fun stimulating and person centred, to meet individual needs (this could include numeracy, and literacy). This will all help to improve confidence, self-esteem and general wellbeing!

Practical

We offer weekly practical sessions, which include all aspects associated with gardening and exploring arts.
(Exploring arts includes using a variety of different art styles, techniques and media.) Suggestions and feedback are encouraged on a weekly basis. This all contributes as part of our Well-being Day, to support our mental health.

Our Support

Our belief is that everyone has the right to work, but not everyone can enter the working world without support. The Learning Centre will provide life skill courses and accredited qualifications with fully supported work experience in an ASC friendly environment. This will help develop confidence and self-esteem and provide the ability to reach their full potential. As part of our ethos, we aim to support and use as many local business as possible.
